JY BioMed's γδ T Cell Therapy Enters the International Stage at JCA 2026
Showcasing GDT and Anti-CEACAM6 ADC Platforms Alongside Asia-Pacific's Top Oncology Researchers

On September 24–26, 2026, our Founder & Chairman, Ethan Shen, PhD, and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Benjamin Zhang, traveled to Kyoto, Japan to attend the 85th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association (JCA) — one of the most prestigious oncology conferences in Asia.
At the meeting, our team engaged directly with leading cancer researchers and clinicians from across the Asia-Pacific region, sharing the latest developments from our two core technology platforms: Gamma Delta T (γδ T) Cell Therapy and Anti-CEACAM6 Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC).
Gamma Delta T (γδ T) Cell Therapy Platform
Our GDT cell therapy platform is at the forefront of JY BioMed's oncology pipeline. GDT cells are a distinct subset of T lymphocytes capable of recognizing and eliminating tumor cells through MHC-independent mechanisms — offering a meaningful advantage against solid tumors that often evade conventional immunotherapy.
In collaboration with Taipei Medical University (TMU), our preclinical research in Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) — one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer — has observed promising results in animal models, with findings published in the peer-reviewed journal Immunobiology. We have also demonstrated the platform's potential in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) models, highlighting its applicability across multiple cancer types.
The GDT platform has been exclusively licensed to SL Science Holding Limited (Nasdaq: SLBT), with Ho Hsun Life Sciences (6986) serving as our CDMO partner for pharmaceutical-grade cell manufacturing.
Anti-CEACAM6 Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) Platform
Our Anti-CEACAM6 ADC platform targets CEACAM6, a protein overexpressed in multiple solid tumors including pancreatic cancer. Through a bispecific antibody design co-targeting both CEACAM6 and EGFR, we aim to enhance tumor-targeting precision and therapeutic efficacy.
Developed in collaboration with TMU and supported by Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), this platform has received FDA Orphan Drug Designation for pancreatic cancer and was recognized with the 22nd National Innovation Award.
Connecting with the Global Oncology Community
Participating in the JCA Annual Meeting is part of our ongoing commitment to engaging with the international scientific community. These connections allow us to exchange ideas with world-class researchers, receive direct scientific feedback, and explore future collaborative opportunities — all in service of advancing treatments that can reach more patients.
Presenting our research at the JCA Annual Meeting allows us to connect with world-class cancer researchers and receive direct scientific validation of our platforms. As we advance our GDT cell therapy and ADC programs, international academic collaboration is a critical component of our development strategy.
