JY BioMed Completes U.S. FDA Drug Master File Filing for GDT Cell-Derived Exosomes
Strengthening Manufacturing and Quality Documentation to Support International Collaboration

JY BioMed announced that a Drug Master File (DMF) for its Gamma Delta T (GDT) cell-derived exosomes has been filed with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under DMF No. 044612. This milestone focuses on documenting manufacturing processes and quality data, extending the Company's existing GDT platform into an exosome format and establishing a reference foundation for future technology partnerships and related regulatory submissions.
The Company noted that it had previously established DMFs for umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs), UC-MSC-derived exosomes, and GDT cells. The addition of GDT cell-derived exosomes further broadens the documentation supporting its two core platforms. JY BioMed treats cells and their derived exosomes as distinct development formats, compiling manufacturing and quality data for each and building a body of technical documentation available for partner evaluation.
A DMF is a confidential technical submission to the FDA that may contain information on manufacturing facilities, raw materials, processes, quality control, and stability. With authorization from the DMF holder, related applications may reference the data it contains, allowing the agency to review that information during its evaluation while protecting the holder's proprietary know-how. For companies whose business model centers on technology licensing, a DMF provides a mechanism for partners to reference manufacturing and quality data.
The newly filed exosomes are derived from JY BioMed's established GDT cell platform. While they share the same platform origin as the previously documented cell product, they represent a different product format. The Company explained that manufacturing, storage, and transportation considerations differ between the two, and the documentation has been organized according to the specific characteristics of each, progressively building separate manufacturing and quality data packages for cells and exosomes.
“As a technology originator, we are committed not only to advancing our research but also to thoroughly documenting our manufacturing processes and quality systems. This DMF filing organizes our platform technology into data that can be reviewed and referenced under authorization, laying the documentation groundwork for future collaboration with development and manufacturing partners.”

Within the industry value chain, JY BioMed focuses on core technology and intellectual property. Certain programs from its GDT cell platform have been licensed internationally to SL Science (Nasdaq: SLBT), while HeXun Biosciences (TPEx: 6986) participates on the manufacturing side as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). JY BioMed will continue to pursue a collaboration model built on technology out-licensing and a division of manufacturing responsibilities, building a portfolio of documentation that international partners can reference.
Looking ahead, the Company plans to continue focusing on UC-MSCs, GDT cells, and their derived exosomes, accumulating process, quality, and regulatory documentation as a foundation for international technology collaboration. JY BioMed's broader technology portfolio also includes heavy-chain antibody–drug conjugates (HCAb-ADCs) and related intellectual property, and the Company maintains an academic research collaboration with Taipei Medical University.
