Adam Chen, PhD
Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Adam Chen is an accomplished public sector leader and innovation strategist, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of JY BioMed and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Taipei Medical University (TMU). He brings over three decades of experience in science and technology policy, research infrastructure, and cross-sector collaboration. Before joining JY BioMed, Dr. Chen held senior leadership roles within Taiwan’s top science and technology agencies, including his most recent position as Director of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau under the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Chen has played a pivotal role in advancing Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem. He previously served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), and held several key leadership positions, including Secretary General, Director General of the Department of Foresight and Innovation Policies, and Director of Planning and Evaluation at the National Science Council. His strategic leadership has contributed significantly to shaping Taiwan’s national policies and long-term development in biotechnology, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and emerging technologies.
At JY BioMed, Dr. Chen leverages his extensive experience in government, academia, and industry to foster innovation, strengthen strategic partnerships, and accelerate the commercialization of cutting-edge biomedical technologies. His appointment to the Board of Trustees of Taipei Medical University further reflects his commitment to advancing translational medicine, academic excellence, and collaboration between research institutions and the biotechnology industry.
